Given a choice of diamond set is obviously a better choice for everyone. Its a set of diamonds! Who would choose it over a necklace?
But whats the point of getting a set? To satisfy one's self? But as the prize is bigger, so is the lost... I'm not so sure about flaws of the diamonds in the set or necklace.. So I'll just give my point.
If someone was to give you a diamond set or diamond necklace which really cost, what will you think? Maybe he's for real? Maybe he's just plain rich with no dam sincerity?! As said.. You can never buy true sincerity. What is worth of a happiness for which you must strive and work? Real happiness is spontaneous and effortless!
Even a pebble can worth more than a daimond, its just how it is presented. He who possesses sincerity is he who, without an effort, hits what is right and apprehends without the exercise of though. He is the sage who naturally and easily embodies the right way. He who attains to sincerity is he who chooses what is good, and firmly holds it fast.
Riches are not from abundance of worldly goods, but from a contented mind.
